Free time used wisely

I had a very busy weekend with Laura and Gabe visiting from Colorado.  Besides having guests this weekend, I also had to work.  Boo! Who wants to work on the weekend? But I did have a few minutes to put a few cards together. I started making this first card for a friend but then remembered I had a stamp set I wanted to use from Stampin Up.  So I finished up this card and started the other one.  I also needed to create a thank you note for someone special as well.

I used my Cricut Lite cartridge, Cherry Limeade to cut out the bird. I cut it at 3 inches.  I used Papertrey Ink paper for the base of my card and the first layer.  The colors are Raspberry Fizz and Sweet Blush. I do not know what kind of paper I used for the next layer but  I embossed the blue paper with the Cuttlebug folder Birds and Swirls.  I then cut a 1.5 inch by 3 3/4 inch piece of green paper and cut the top to make it look like grass.  The stamp I used is from My Pink Stamper, Punny-licious and I used Basic Black ink from Stampin Up.  I used Cotton Candy Stickles to the wing and cheek of the bird.

This is the card I made using the stamp set from Stampin Up.  It's called Cheers to you.  I stamped each of the different cocktails on the white piece of paper that was cut at 5 1/2 inches by 1 1/2 inches. I then colored them in using markers from Stampin Up.   I added a piece of blue shimmer paper across the bottom that I punched.   The card was made by cutting a piece of Papertrey Ink's Basic Krafts 8 1/2 by 11 paper in half and folding it. Then I took a piece of patterned paper and placed it on the card then added the white piece of paper with the cocktails on it.  I then punched out a circle and stamped the saying from the Cheers to you stamp set. I then added a bow made out of Papertrey Ink ribbon, Spring rain.  To jazz up the beer I added some Stickles to the top.

I received a lot of books from someone to use in my classroom. I wanted to create a thank you note but wanted it to be simple. So I cut a book from the Cursive 101 cartridge at 3 inches on white paper then cut out it out again on blackout feature on Papertrey Ink's Sweet Blush paper.  I then used a stamp set from Papertrey Ink called Inside and Out: Thank you and used Stampin Up's ink called Basic Grey. I made the card using Papertrey Ink's Basic Kraft paper and then the first layer is Sweet Blush.  The white polka dot paper is from DCWV. The silver ribbon is from Papertrey ink.
I liked the inside of the thank you card so thought I would take a picture of it too. I used Papertrey Ink's Vintage Cream paper and used Stampin Up's Basic Grey to stamp the sentiment that came from the Inside and Out: Thank you stamp set. I then took a sponge and inked it up with the Basic Grey ink and sponged around the outside of the paper.  I think it looks good!

Thanks for stopping by. I hope everyone had a great weekend. I sure did.

Birthday Cards Galore

I needed to make a couple birthday cards this weekend. I have been slacking in trying to create cards so I wasn't so rushed when putting them together.  Just never enough time in the day to get up in my room and start crafting.

I used my new Cricut Lite cartridge, Hoot -n- Holler. I cut the owl at 2.5 and the branch is cut at 2.  I used Papertrey Ink paper (Brown and Cream) and DCWV shimmer paper (Green and Red).  The stamp is from Papertrey Ink stamped called Paper Tray Sentiments.  I stamped it with my Chocolate Chip ink pad from Stampin Up.

For this card I used the Create a Critter and cut my turtle out at 2.  I was trying to use up some of my scrap paper that I had and the ribbon is from PaperTrey Ink, Ripe Avocado.  The stamp is the same one that I used in the card above and I used Stampin Up's Pacific Point ink pad.  On the turtle instead of regular 3D dots, I used an Action Wobble Spring from AWI.  It makes the turtle wobble around, it's way cute!

Thanks for stopping by!

I love getting presents in the mail

My brother gave me a gift card for Christmas to Paper Trey Ink.  So I picked up some new paper, ribbon and a stamp set called Inside and Out: Baby.  I love their paper and the matching ribbon that you can get.  It makes my job a lot easier when trying to piece everything together.

I've also decided I need to start using my camera instead of my Iphone to take my picture or just until I get a new version of the Iphone.

Thanks Trevor! I can't I can't wait to get in my craft room and use the new materials I got :0)

Old projects from 2010

Here are some of the projects I created in 2010.  Hopefully in 2011 they will become more and more creative.

Halloween bag I made for my students.

Halloween card for my friend.

My Christmas card this year.
Every season I put up a new wall of die cuts for my children's pictures and names to go on to

Happy Birthday card for my cousin.

Here we go

I've always enjoyed sharing pictures of what I've created on Facebook but I thought why not start a blog so I can take better pictures to post.  So I've decided to create my own little blog just for that.  Hopefully someone will come and take a look at the things I've created.

I've also decided for the new year I'm going to try to spend more time up in my craft room.  This way maybe I can have a set of cards ready to be given out instead of rushing to make one when I need it.  We will see if that happens :0)

I thank you for spending time at my blog and looking at the creations I've created for you all to enjoy!
