Stampin Up Club

Every month there is a Stampin Up club together were we make a couple of cards that our gracious host puts together for us.  Here are some pictures from February's meeting.  I loved these cards. They are colors I wouldn't normally use myself, glad Christina stretched my comfort zone and made me to think about using different colors than pink :0)

Have a good week!

Love is in the air!

I decided I would use my two snow days to create some Valentine's Day cards.  A dear friend asked me to make a couple cards and mail them to him.  The first two cards are for him.  The last card is of course for Phil :0)

The card base is made out of Papertrey Ink white paper 81/2 by 11 inch paper cut in half and folded in half.  The black layer is made from Papertrey Ink paper and is cut at 5 1/4 by 4. The heart is cut from the Love Struck Seasonal Cartridge and is cut at 4 inches.  I used scrap pink paper for it, the top layer is a pink shimmer paper.   The ribbon is from Papertrey Ink and is called Hibiscus Burst.  The stamp is from My Pink Stamper set called Punny-Licious.  It was stamped with white ink.

This card base used up some of my scrap pink paper.  It's three different pinks.  The last layer was ran through my cuttlebug and I can't remember which folder :0(  The hearts are cut out of the Love Struck Seasonal cartridge and they were cut at 2 inches.  The ribbon is from Papertrey Ink, Fresh Snow's Velvet.

I used some 8 1/2 by 11 inch red paper I had at home.  I then folded it in half and added only one layer to it.  That layer was a cream base cut at 5 1/4 by 3 1/2.  The Stamp set is by Stampin Up and it's called Things I love.  I cut out 3 squares from the Plantin cartridge.  The blue layer was cut at 1 1/2 and the cream layer 1 1/4.  On the cream layer at the end, I stamped in chocolate chip, but most of all.... I then cut out a heart from the Plantin cartridge a heart at 1 inch.  It was then stamped with You... in Chocolate chip.

I hope you enjoy!
